Booking terms

These terms apply to every stay at Tita's Guesthouse, operated by Tamara Hernandez, Wiesenstr. 1a, 66851 Hauptstuhl, Germany. German law applies.

Booking and confirmation

A booking is confirmed when we have confirmed your dates in writing (email or WhatsApp) and you have accepted our quote. Until then, dates are not reserved.

Prices

All prices are quoted in euro and include VAT and all mandatory fees. For guests in SOFA status, the rate follows the lodging portion of your per diem or TQSA. Any US dollar amount we mention is a reference only; the euro amount on your quote is the binding price. Rates are set per stay and do not change after confirmation, even if monthly per diem rates change.

VAT forms

Guests in SOFA status may use a VAT form (NATO-ZAbk Art. 67 (3)). The form must be handed over before or at check-in. Without a valid VAT form, VAT is charged.

Payment

Military members: within the 10 day finance window after check-in. GS personnel: the first night at check-in, the rest once the allowance has been paid out, arranged case by case. Contractors: within the period of stay. We accept bank transfer, credit and debit cards and cash.

Cancellation

We know that PCS and TDY orders change at short notice, for military and government civilians alike. That is why we do not charge cancellation fees. All we ask: keep us informed as soon as you know about a change in your dates, so we can adapt with you and offer the apartment to the next family.

Stays are booked for fixed dates, so the legal 14 day right of withdrawal for online purchases does not apply (ยง 312g Abs. 2 Nr. 9 BGB). Our flexible rule above applies instead.

Changes to your dates

Most PCS guests do not know their exact departure date when they arrive. We book you for your expected stay and extend or shorten it as your house hunt develops, as long as the apartment is free. Our availability calendar shows the days around each booking as "possibly available" for this reason.

Check-in and check-out

There are no fixed check-in or check-out times. Travel plans change constantly for our guests, so we agree the times with you individually, including late flights and early departures. Tell us when you land and we will be there with the keys.

House rules

  • Non smoking inside the apartment.
  • Pets are welcome in every apartment, free of charge. Tell us about your pet when you book.
  • Quiet hours in Germany are 10 pm to 7 am and on Sundays. Please respect the neighbors.
  • Please separate waste as explained in the apartment; we help you with the German system.
  • Weekly cleaning and fresh linens are included. Please leave the apartment in a reasonable state on departure.

Damage and deposit

We do not take a deposit. Damage beyond normal wear and tear is charged at repair or replacement cost.
